21th WASBE Conference 2026
FR Je participerai à la conférence WASBE 2026, qui se tiendra du 21 au 25 juillet 2026 à Rio de Janeiro, au Brésil. Il s’agit de l’une des plus importantes conventions internationales consacrées aux orchestres à vent.
Le jeudi 23 juillet à 15h30 (heure locale), la section suisse de la WASBE — représentée par Stéphane Delley et Boris Oppliger — présentera le travail de cinq jeunes compositeurs suisses : mes amis Maurice Donnet-Monay, Théo Schmitt, Théo Rossier, Aurélien Darbellay, ainsi que moi-même.

Am Donnerstag, den 23. Juli, um 15:30 Uhr (Ortszeit) wird die Schweizer Sektion der WASBE — vertreten durch Stéphane Delley und Boris Oppliger — die Arbeiten von fünf jungen Schweizer Komponisten präsentieren: meine Freunde Maurice Donnet-Monay, Théo Schmitt, Théo Rossier, Aurélien Darbellay sowie mich selbst.
EN I will be attending the WASBE 2026 conference, which will take place from July 21 to 25, 2026, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is one of the largest international conventions dedicated to wind orchestras.
On Thursday, July 23 at 3:30 PM (local time), the Swiss section of WASBE — represented by Stéphane Delley and Boris Oppliger — will present the work of five young Swiss composers: my friends Maurice Donnet-Monay, Théo Schmitt, Théo Rossier, Aurélien Darbellay, and myself.

A whisper is running through the Swiss music scene, that of a legend in the making: “The Swiss Group of Five.” Is it a simple echo of the great collectives of the past, or a genuine emerging artistic movement? At the heart of this myth are five young composers: Gauthier Dupertuis, Maurice Donnet-Monay, Théo Schmitt, Théo Rossier, and Aurélien Darbellay.
Without an official manifesto, but united by a powerful creative emulation, they are forging a new identity for contemporary Swiss music. This presentation invites you to unravel the mystery. Through the analysis of their works, we will discover whether this myth is a mere construct or the tangible reality of a major artistic renewal.
