Originally written for Wind Band, Intrada Furiosa was transcribed for Brass Ensemble. It is an energetic fanfare, featuring brilliant fanfare writing for brass and challenging lines in woodwinds, as well as more lyric parts.

The piece follows an ABA pattern : an introduction sets the main fanfare motif of the piece (trumpets m. 3) and its inversion in low brass (m. 7). The first theme is exposed by the horns (m.12) in a pompous and frenetic first section. The middle part (mark C) introducts a new chord progression and new melodical (and more lyrical) material, which will be developed in the following section. A crescendo in volume, orchestration, tempo and tension leads to the return of the fanfare (mark H), this time with the harmony of the middle section.

This work, in its Brass Ensemble setting, has not been premiered yet.
